Something not
working?
One address reaches a person: support@repplefitness.com. Below it are the problems that actually come up — confirmation emails that never arrive, Apple Health permissions, a coach who cannot see your training — written against what the apps do rather than what a help centre usually says.
Then what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot of the error saves a round trip. Write from the address on the account where you can — it lets us find you without asking.
Start by knowing which app you are in
Repple ships as three separate apps built from one codebase. They look alike because they share a design; they are not the same app, and half of all confusion starts here.
Members
You train at a gym or with a coach. Five tabs: Home, Train, Meals, Progress, Me.
Coaches
You are a personal trainer with clients. Clients, Programs, Schedule, Videos, Analytics.
Gyms
You run or own a gym. Overview, Trainers, Brand, Growth, Ops.
Common to all three
Do the three apps share one account?
Yes. One email and password, one database behind them. What differs is what you are shown, and that is decided by your role.
How is my role decided?
By the app you created the account in. Sign up inside Repple and you are a member; sign up inside Repple Coach and you are a coach; sign up inside Repple Studio and you are a gym owner. It is not a menu you pick from, because a coach who chose "member" would land in an app with no coaching screens in it at all.
If you signed up in the wrong one, email us and say which you meant. Do not create a second account on the same address to fix it — see signing up twice below for why that makes things worse.
Do I need more than one of them?
Only if you do more than one job. A member never needs Coach. A coach without a gym never needs Studio. All three are here if you do need another.
Where is the in-app guide?
Every app has one, covering each of its five tabs and what you can do in them. It is the same text as the tour shown on first sign-in, so you can look something up again without having to remember it the first time.
Signing in and confirming your email
Creating an account takes a name, an email and a password of at least eight characters that also has a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number and a symbol in it. A password that has appeared in a public data breach is refused as well, and that check can only run when you save. Then one step people do not expect: you have to confirm the address before you can sign in.
-
01
Create the account
In the app, or at repplefitness.com/signup. Either works — it is the same account either way.
-
02
Open the confirmation email and follow the link
Until you do, signing in will fail. The app shows the error it gets back from the sign-in service rather than rewriting it, so the wording may be terse — but an unconfirmed address is the most common reason for it.
-
03
Land on the confirmation page
The link brings you to a page on this site that tells you plainly which of three things happened: confirmed, already confirmed, or the link has expired. If it has expired, ask for a fresh one rather than clicking the old one again.
-
04
Sign in
In the app, with the same email and password. The first sign-in also runs the short tour of the tabs.
When it will not let you in
I signed up twice with the same email. Which password works?
The first one. This is worth reading carefully, because it has already locked someone out.
Signing up again with an address that already has an account looks exactly like signing up for the first time — you get a success message and another confirmation email. That is deliberate on the sign-in service's part: telling you an address is taken would let a stranger test which emails have Repple accounts. But the second sign-up does not change the password. Keep using the one you set the first time. If you cannot remember it, reset it — that does work.
"Continue with Apple" and "Continue with Google" do nothing.
They are not connected yet, and the app says so when you tap one. Use the email and password fields for now.
I have forgotten my password.
Ask for a reset link at repplefitness.com/forgot-password, or from the same option inside the app. The link opens a page where you set the new password, then hands you back to whichever app you use. Reset links can be used once and they expire, so if you have clicked an old one, request another rather than reloading it.
I tried the demo and now my training has gone.
The demo on the welcome screen is a walkthrough, not an account. Nothing you do in it is saved anywhere, and nothing in it is yours — it exists so you can see the shape of the app before committing an email address. Create a real account and start from an empty log, which is what a new account is meant to look like.
The app opens on a screen with nothing in it.
That is a new account behaving correctly. Nothing is seeded with sample data, so records, charts and targets stay blank until there is something behind them. Where a figure is missing, the app says what it is waiting for: readiness wants a night of sleep, calorie targets want a scan or a check-in, the record board wants a set.
When the email never arrives
Confirmation and password-reset emails are the single most common thing that goes wrong, and it is usually not the sending that fails. Here is what to do, in order.
- Give it a few minutes. It is normally quick, but not always instant. Do not request three more in the meantime — each new link invalidates the one before it, and it is easy to end up clicking a dead one.
- Check spam and junk. That is where it usually is. Marking it "not junk" helps the next one through.
- If it is a work address, assume quarantine. Corporate mail filters — Microsoft 365 in particular — accept the message, then hold it in a quarantine you are never shown. There is nothing in your inbox and nothing in your spam folder, because it never reached either. Ask your IT team to release it and to allow mail from repplefitness.com, or use a personal address instead.
- Check the address for a typo. A confirmation sent to an address with a missing letter cannot be recovered by waiting.
- Then ask for another. Confirmation emails can be re-sent from the sign-up page; reset links from forgot password. Both are rate-limited, so if you are told to wait, wait.
Email support@repplefitness.com from the address you signed up with and say which app you are trying to get into. We can confirm an account by hand — it is not a dead end, and you do not need to make a second account to get past it.
Mail from us comes from repplefitness.com. We will never ask you for your password, and no legitimate email from us contains one.
Apple Health and your watch
Health access is optional. Everything in Repple can be entered by hand, and the app is built to work without a watch — what a watch adds is live heart rate during a session and workouts you do not have to type in twice.
Permissions
Do I have to allow Apple Health?
No. Repple works without it. If you do allow it, Repple asks to read five things and nothing else:
- Heart rate
- Resting heart rate
- Active energy burned
- Steps
- Workouts
You choose which of those to grant in the Health permission sheet, and the app carries on with whatever you allow.
How do I change my mind?
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Repple. That screen is the only real switch. Turning a device off inside Repple clears Repple's own connection, but iOS gives no way for an app to hand a Health permission back — so if you want the permission itself withdrawn, do it there.
Where does Repple say it uses my Health data?
In Privacy, in full. The short version: it is read only after you grant permission, used only to show you your own training and recovery, never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone other than a coach you deliberately linked to your account.
Workouts and figures
My watch workouts are not showing up.
They are not pulled in automatically — you ask for them. Open Me → Watch & Devices and tap Find my workouts. Choose how far back to look: 14 days, 30 days, 90 days or a year. Anything found that is not already in your log can be imported one at a time or all at once, and anything already logged is marked so you do not end up with it twice.
If the list comes back empty: check the workout actually saved into the Health app on your iPhone, and that Apple Health still shows as connected on that screen.
My heart rate and calories are blank.
Heart rate and active energy come from the watch, so the watch has to be on your wrist and worn during the session. Steps come from the iPhone and will usually be there regardless. The screen updates on its own while a device is feeding it.
Apple Health says it is unavailable.
Two reasons, and the app names the one that applies. Apple Health is iPhone-only, so it will never connect on anything else. And it needs the real Repple build from the App Store — it cannot reach HealthKit from a development preview.
Connected services
Everything below lives on one screen: Me → Watch & Devices, except Spotify, which sits under Me → Music & Playlists.
| Service | What it brings in | How it connects |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Watch via Apple Health |
Heart rate, resting heart rate, active energy, steps and recorded workouts. The only source that can produce a per-session heart-rate zone breakdown. | Tap Connect and grant the Health permission. iPhone only. Revoke in iOS Settings, not in Repple. |
| WHOOP | Strain, recovery, heart rate and calories, plus workouts you can import into your log. | Tap Connect. WHOOP's own sign-in page opens in a browser sheet; approve it there and you are returned to the app. |
| Oura Ring | Readiness, HRV, sleep and resting heart rate. | Same — Oura's own sign-in page, then back to the app. |
| Fitbit | Nothing yet. | The Repple side is written, but we have not finished registering the app with Fitbit, so there is nothing for you to sign in to and the row says so. Nothing is wrong with your Fitbit account. A Fitbit that already writes into Apple Health or Health Connect reaches Repple by that route in the meantime. |
| Garmin | Nothing yet. | Garmin's Health API is not self-serve — it needs an approved partnership, which is why the row stays unavailable and says so. A Garmin watch that already writes into Apple Health reaches Repple by that route in the meantime. |
| Google Fit / Health Connect | Steps, heart rate, calories, workouts and sleep — Android's own health store, which is where a Garmin, a Fitbit, a Polar or a phone writes on that platform. Blood sugar is asked for separately, on the Blood Sugar screen. | Android only. Tap Connect and grant the Health Connect permission. It also needs an Android build that declares those permissions, which not every build does — where yours cannot ask, Connect fails with a sentence naming both reasons rather than a blank screen. On anything other than Android the row tells you it is Android-only. |
| Spotify | Nothing about your training. It goes the other way: Repple builds a playlist to match the session. | Me → Music & Playlists. Connect Spotify and the playlist can be created in your own Spotify account. |
Connecting, disconnecting, and what we hold
Does Repple see my WHOOP or Oura password?
No. Connecting opens that company's own sign-in page in a browser sheet. You sign in to them, they hand back an authorisation code, and the exchange for a token happens on our server rather than on your phone. Repple never sees the password, and the vendor's secret never travels inside the app.
How do I disconnect one?
Tap the row again on Me → Watch & Devices — the button reads Connected once it is. That deletes the stored token for that service. Apple Health is the exception: there is no token to delete, so use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Repple.
It says "not set up yet" when I tap Connect.
That is the app missing its credentials for that vendor in the build you have, not anything wrong with your account or with the service. Tell us which one and on which app — it is fixed on our side, not yours.
Which of these can my coach see?
None of them directly. A coach you have linked to sees your training, and your nutrition and check-ins where you use those together — not your device connections and not your tokens. The full picture is in Privacy.
Notifications and reminders
Repple asks for notification permission when you sign in. There are two different things behind that one prompt, and they fail in different ways.
Notifications from other people
These come from our server, so they arrive whether or not the app is open:
- A session booked, moved or cancelled — in both directions, coach and client
- A personal-training slot opening up, if you were waiting on one
- A message from your coach, and coach broadcasts
- A gym offer or announcement, if your gym runs Repple Studio
Reminders you schedule
These are scheduled by the app on the phone itself, under Me → Reminders:
- Hydration nudges — on or off, how often, and between which hours
- Named reminders, such as a supplement, at a time you choose
- A session or class reminder an hour before one you have booked
- A nudge to keep a streak alive
When they are not arriving
I am not getting anything at all.
Check the permission first, in your phone's own settings — iOS Settings → Notifications → Repple, or the equivalent on Android. That switch is the one that decides whether anything reaches you, and if it was declined at sign-in it will not ask again.
I set reminders and they stopped when I changed phone.
Reminders are held on the device that scheduled them, not on your account. A new phone — or a reinstall — starts with none. Open Me → Reminders and set them again.
I want fewer of them.
Turn hydration and named reminders off in Me → Reminders. For everything that comes from the server, the switch that always works is your phone's own notification setting for the app. If you want a particular kind stopped and cannot find the switch for it, tell us which one — that is a fair thing to ask for.
Logging, fixing mistakes, and charts that stay empty
Almost every number in the app is read back out of something you entered. That is why an empty chart is usually a missing input rather than a fault.
Your log
I logged a workout wrong. Can I fix it?
Yes. In the Train tab, find the entry under the day it was logged and tap the pencil beside it. The edit sheet lets you change the exercise, the sets, the cardio figures and the calories, without deleting the session and starting again.
I logged the same workout twice.
Delete one of them from the same edit sheet. If it came in through Find my workouts, note that anything already in your log is marked as imported and will not be offered again — so a duplicate usually means one copy was typed in by hand and the other came from the watch.
My calorie and macro targets are blank.
They are scaled from your body, so they need something to scale from — a body-fat figure from a scan, or a weight from a check-in. Add either and the targets appear. Marking the day as training, standard or rest moves them.
Readiness has nothing in it.
Readiness needs a night of sleep logged before it can say anything, and it stays blank rather than guessing at one. Sleep comes from a connected device that reports it.
Heart-rate zones
Where is my heart-rate zone chart?
Zones need heart-rate samples taken during the session, which in practice means an Apple Watch worn while you train. A device that only reports a whole-day average — Oura and Fitbit among them — cannot produce a per-session breakdown.
Repple will not manufacture one from a daily figure. Accumulating time-in-zone against a static day-average would put "42 minutes in Zone 2" on a session it never measured. So you get an explanation on screen instead of a chart, which is the honest version of the same answer.
I use WHOOP. Do I get zones?
Partly. WHOOP reports how long a workout spent in each zone, but not the underlying samples — so you get the zone bars without the heart-rate line through them. That is the whole of what WHOOP gives, drawn as what it is.
The bpm on my live session is not moving.
If the figure came from a connected device rather than a watch on your wrist, it is today's average, and the session screen says so. It is shown because it is better than a dash, and it is kept out of the zone calculation because it cannot support one.
Coaches, gyms and classes
A coach seeing your training is not a setting — it is a link the two of you make, and it only exists once you have accepted it.
Linking to a coach
How does a coach get linked to me?
Three ways, and they are not equivalent:
- They invite you by email. The invitation appears in your app and you accept it. This is the one that grants them access to your training.
- You request them. Me → Find a Trainer lists coaches who have opted into the directory; picking one sends them a real request, which they accept or decline.
- They add you by hand. This puts your name on their roster so they can keep track of you. There is no account attached to it, so there is nothing for them to read.
My coach cannot see my logs.
Work through these in order:
- Was the invitation accepted? A sent invitation grants nothing. It has to be accepted in your app before anything is shared.
- Did it go to the address you sign in with? Invitations are matched on the email on your account. If your coach sent it to a different address of yours, you will never see it. Ask them to check the exact spelling.
- Did they add you by hand instead? A hand-added client is a name on a list. Ask them to send you an emailed invitation to the address you actually sign in with.
- Were you in the demo? Nothing done in the demo is saved, so there is genuinely nothing to see.
If your coach accepted a request you sent through Find a Trainer and still cannot see anything, ask them to send you an emailed invitation as well — and tell us, with both email addresses, so we can look at the link itself.
What can a coach see once we are linked?
Your training, and your nutrition and check-ins where you use those features together. Not your device connections and not your account settings. Progress photos are the exception that works the other way round: a coach has no access to them by default, and sees one only where you have shared that specific photograph, which you can withdraw. Their access is read-only and it ends when the link does — including every photo you had shared. The full account is in Privacy, and the row-by-row version is in Security & data.
Gyms and classes
My gym is not on Repple. Does the app still work?
Yes — Train, Meals and Progress are yours, not your gym's, and they work regardless. What needs the gym to be running Repple Studio is the membership side: the entry barcode, the group-class schedule, and personal-training sessions booked through the app.
A class or session I booked has vanished.
Bookings can be cancelled from either side, and a cancellation sends a notification. If you did not get one, check the notification permission first. If the booking is gone and nobody cancelled it, tell us the date and the class or coach and we will look.
My gym membership or invoices are wrong.
Those records belong to the gym, who set and manage them. Ask them first. If something looks broken rather than merely wrong, we would like to know.
Your data — taking it out, or having it erased
Both are buttons in the app rather than an email you have to compose, and both live in the same place: Me → Settings → Your data.
Export
How do I get a copy of everything?
Me → Settings → Your data → Export my data. It gathers what is held against your account and hands you a JSON file through the normal share sheet, so you can put it in Files, mail it to yourself, or drop it anywhere else. The same option is in all three apps.
What is in the export?
Your profile, your client record, workouts, food logs, measurements, check-ins, habit logs, scans, progress photo records, messages, coach nutrition plans, assigned programs, class bookings, referrals, feedback and your waivers and signed agreements. The gym-side records are in it too — membership, invoices, payments, charges, passes and door-log visits.
Two things it does not carry. Any note a coach wrote about you while you were a lead of theirs, which is their working note rather than your record. And the files themselves: the bundle lists every photograph, injury document, message attachment and avatar held for you, and you save those one at a time from the same screen. Where a table could not be read, the export says so in place of the rows rather than handing you an empty list that reads like “you had none”.
Can I have it as a spreadsheet?
Not today — the export is JSON. If a CSV would be more use to you, say so; it is a reasonable request and worth knowing that people want it.
Deletion
How do I delete my account?
Me → Settings → Your data → Delete my account, then confirm. You are signed out straight away and the request is recorded against your account. Or email support@repplefitness.com from the address on the account — no reason needed.
The full deletion page sets out exactly what is erased, what survives, and how long it takes.
I have changed my mind.
Sign back in and go to Me → Settings → Your data. While a request is outstanding, that screen shows the date you asked and offers Withdraw my deletion request. You can ask again later.
Does asking twice make it happen sooner?
No, and it is written that way on purpose. A second request does not reset the clock, because that would quietly restart somebody's thirty days. Withdrawing and then asking again does start it over.
Two things deletion does not do.
It does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play — cancel that in your Apple or Google account, or it keeps billing. And it does not remove records we are legally required to keep, which in practice means payment records held for tax.
How long does it take?
Within 30 days, as set out in Privacy. Nothing happens on a timer — a person carries it out — which is why we suggest emailing as well as tapping the button, so it is in front of someone.
Write to us.
Nothing here matching your problem is itself worth telling us about. A person reads the inbox, and the pages you are on now are written from what people ask.
